In my "sozialgenial" project, I supported Global-Care, a children's charity in Fritzlar, in their social media efforts. The idea came after several aid organizations, including Global-Care, introduced themselves to our class. Since I've been interested in social media for some time and have my own successful accounts, I thought it would be a good fit to contribute my knowledge there.

On-site, I shared my knowledge of social media, its algorithms, and video editing with Rolf Schild and Jennifer Sickora. Together, we brainstormed ways to make their work visible, especially in a way that would be exciting and interesting for people. This led to an Advent campaign in which we posted a short video every day, presenting wishes that children from other countries might have. Through a contact at the children's welfare organization, even the HNA newspaper became aware of me. After an interview, they wrote a report about me and my social media channels.

Even though I wasn't able to implement everything in the project as I had initially planned, I had a very positive experience there, not only because the collaboration was successful, but also because all the employees there were very friendly and open.
